Privacy Policy

Summary in 60 seconds. Getyzap has no accounts, no login, no comments and no newsletter, so there is very little of you here to collect. We keep standard server logs for security. We show advertising served by Google and its certified partners, and where the law requires it we ask for your consent first through a banner you can reopen at any time. Advertising is personalised only if you say yes. We may use Google Analytics 4 for aggregate audience measurement, with consent, if it is enabled. The only form on the site is Contact, and it sends an e-mail. We do not sell or share your personal data, and we honour the Global Privacy Control signal. You can ask us for access, correction or deletion at any time.

Effective date: September 11, 2026.

1. Who is responsible for your data

Getyzap (getyzap.com) is published by DDMP, a Brazilian digital media company operating under the brand Digital Dream. The controller of the personal data described here is DDMP, publisher of Getyzap. You can reach us at [email protected] or through the Contact page.

This policy covers the whole site. The site is a static site hosted on Cloudflare.

2. The short version: what we do and do not collect

We do not collect:

  • names, e-mail addresses or passwords through any account — there are no accounts;
  • comments, ratings, reviews or any other content written by visitors — there is nowhere to write them;
  • newsletter subscriptions — we do not run one;
  • payment data of any kind — we sell nothing on this site.

We do process:

  • technical data in server logs, such as your IP address and user agent, for security and for keeping the site running;
  • cookies that record your consent choices, and — only where you consent — advertising and measurement cookies;
  • whatever you choose to write to us through the Contact page.

3. Server logs and security

Like every site on the internet, Getyzap is served by infrastructure that keeps logs. These privacy-respecting logs come from Cloudflare and may include the IP address, the user agent, the page requested, the date and time and the response status.

We use them to protect the site against abuse, attacks and automated scraping, to diagnose errors and to understand traffic at an aggregate level. We do not use server logs to build a profile of you.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. On Getyzap they serve two purposes only: remembering your consent choices, and — with that consent — advertising and measurement.

CookiePurposeDuration
Consent preferenceStores the choice you made in the cookie banner so that we do not ask again on every visitUp to 12 months
Google advertising cookies (Google Ad Manager / AdSense and certified partners)Serving ads, limiting how often you see the same ad, fraud prevention and measurement; personalisation only where you consentSet and controlled by Google
Analytics cookies — Google Analytics 4, if enabledAggregate audience measurement: which pages are read, from which country, on which type of deviceSet and controlled by Google

Where the law requires consent, the banner appears before any non-essential cookie is set, and you can reopen the cookie preference window at any time to change or withdraw your choice. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

5. Advertising: Google and its partners

Getyzap is free to read because of display advertising. Ads are served by Google, through Google Ad Manager and AdSense, together with Google's certified advertising partners. Our consent banner is built on Google Consent Mode v2, which tells Google what you have agreed to before anything is loaded.

If you consent to personalised advertising, Google and its partners may use cookies and similar identifiers to select ads based on your interests. If you do not consent, you still see ads — they are simply not personalised.

You can manage or opt out of personalised advertising at any time:

Today Getyzap carries no affiliate links and no sponsored reviews. If that changes, we will disclose it on the page it affects.

6. Analytics

The site may use Google Analytics 4 for aggregate audience measurement. Where it is enabled, it runs subject to your consent and to Consent Mode v2, and we use it only to understand which content is read and how the site performs — never to identify you individually.

7. The Contact page

The Contact page holds the only form on the site, and all it does is send us an e-mail. We use what you write to answer you and to keep a record of the request — a rights-holder notice or a correction, for example. We do not add your address to any mailing list, because we do not have one.

8. Legal bases for processing

  • Legitimate interest — server logs, security and fraud prevention, and the basic operation of the site.
  • Consent — advertising cookies, personalised advertising and analytics, where consent is required.
  • Legitimate interest or the pre-contractual step of answering you — messages you send through the Contact page.
  • Compliance with a legal obligation — keeping a record of consent and responding to lawful requests from authorities.

For readers in Brazil these correspond to the bases of the LGPD (Lei 13.709/2018); for readers in the EEA and the United Kingdom, to Article 6 of the GDPR.

9. Who receives data

We share personal data only with the service providers that make the site work:

  • Cloudflare, which hosts and protects the static site;
  • Google and its certified advertising partners, for advertising and, if enabled, measurement;
  • our e-mail provider, for messages sent through the Contact page.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising beyond the advertising choices you consent to. We may disclose data where the law obliges us to, or to defend our rights.

10. International transfers

Our providers operate globally, so data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States and in Brazil. Transfers rely on the safeguards those providers put in place, such as standard contractual clauses and equivalent mechanisms recognised by the LGPD and the GDPR.

11. How long we keep data

  • Server logs: up to 12 months.
  • Consent record: up to 12 months.
  • Contact messages: for as long as needed to deal with the request and to keep a record of it.
  • Advertising and analytics cookies: for the periods set by Google, which you can end at any time by clearing cookies or withdrawing consent.

12. Your rights under the LGPD (Brazil)

If you are in Brazil, the LGPD gives you the right to confirm that we process your data and to access it; to correct incomplete or outdated data; to anonymise, block or delete unnecessary or excessive data; to port your data; to obtain information about who we share data with; to be told the consequences of refusing consent; and to withdraw consent at any time.

13. Your rights under the GDPR (EEA and United Kingdom)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection to processing, and the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority.

14. California: your CCPA/CPRA rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used, to request deletion, to request correction, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

We do not sell personal information. Our "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" choice is honoured through the consent tool: withdrawing consent to advertising cookies stops the sharing. We also honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal sent by your browser, treating it as an opt-out. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

15. Children

Getyzap is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them, in line with COPPA. If you believe a child has sent us data, write to us and we will delete it. Some of the titles we review are made for mature audiences; when that is the case the review states the rating of the work.

16. Security

The site is static and served over HTTPS through Cloudflare, with protection against abuse and automated attacks. There is no user database to breach, because there are no users — only readers. No system is perfectly secure, but the smallest attack surface is the one you do not build.

17. Changes to this policy

We update this policy when the site changes. The version in force is always the one published here, with the effective date at the top.

18. How to exercise your rights

Write to [email protected] or use the Contact page and tell us which right you want to exercise. We answer within the deadlines set by the applicable law.

How we work editorially — scores, sources and confidence — is explained on the Methodology page, and the rules of use are in our Terms of Use.
